Last time we met there were only five of us here in Toronto (and at least one person that I know of trying in vain to join the call-- sorry, Cathy).
We didn’t really get to the task of reviewing and the conference call recommendations as we originally intended. Instead we talked about making sure we communicate in the first place. The discussion was triggered when reviewing the minutes of our Jan 8, 2009 meeting—particularly the part that read, “While we can examine the types of communication, we need to ensure we communicate in the first place”.
For the 5th, I’d like to take another crack at coming up with some specific recommendations on how we can improve our conference calls. I propose that we try to focus the bulk of that meeting on trying to complete the following statement:
We, the communication committee, recommend that the following protocols be adopted for our HR/IR conference calls:_________________________.
This is just my suggestion. I am open to be persuaded that there is a better approach to this. Let me know what you think.
Peter

Hi, all I agree with the approach for our next call. This is essentially how I understood we had planned to proceed: take each type of communication and come up with recommendations, then move on to the next type of communication. And I like your idea of focusing our attention by getting us to complete the statement. Cathy
